Previous projects
In 2014 world famous anatomist Vesalius was put in the spotlight. Thomas Mores book Utopia was the starting point in 2016. In 2018 the heritage of the noble Arenberg family became the focal point of another KU[N]ST Leuven project .
New Horizons | Dieric Bouts Festival
In the fall of 2023, the city festival took us into the world of Dieric Bouts, undoubtedly Leuven's most important painter. We explored the traces Bouts left as an artist of the 15th century and how innovative he was in his time. We also discovered how inspiring he still is today for the world of art, culture and science.
BANG! Big Bang City Festival 2021

Five centuries of Arenbergs
The Arenbergs: a famous noble family. During the autumn of 2018, for a period of three months, Leuven became royal. The influential and versatile nature of this remarkable family formed the common thread during the ambitious Arenberg Festival. The most extraordinary stories related to this illustrious family came to life during the event.
500 years Utopia
In 2016 it was exactly 500 years ago that Thomas More had his famous book Utopia printed in Leuven. This event spearheaded a festival that would last for four months and would immerse its visitors in utopian thinking.
Vesalius gets under your skin
In 2014 Vesalius enchanted the people of Leuven. The city granted the renowned anatomist a main role in exhibitions, dance, theatre, music, city explorations, and lectures. The beating heart of the project was the exhibition ‘Vesalius. Imagining the Body’, organised at M - Museum in Leuven.
